He began his career as a local authority business rates officer before moving to the world’s largest real estate advisory firm, where he specialised as a Rating auditor, mitigation expert and team leader overseeing complex Rating portfolios. A recognised specialist in business rates mitigation, Ben combines technical depth with a pragmatic, results-focused approach. He’s known for spotting savings that others overlook, navigating Rating legislation with precision, and occasionally reminding the team that — yes — he really has seen every type of billing error produced by local authorities.
